Emergency allotments for Virginia SNAP recipients will continue in July

The Virginia Department of Social Services says emergency allotments for SNAP benefit recipients will continue in July. These emergency funds began during the pandemic, and they raise recipients’ monthly benefit amount to the maximum allowable based on household size.

Benefits will automatically load onto recipients’ EBT cards on July 16th. Those with questions should contact their local department of social services. SNAP account information can be accessed on commonhelp.virginia.gov.
