Rundown Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway May be Leased To Bristol Motor Speedway

Bristol Motor Speedway may be partnering with the City of Nashville and the historic Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway to restore the racetrack which is in disrepair. Legislation has been filed that would approve leasing the Fairgrounds Speedway to Bristol Motor Speedway. Officials with BMS say if the opportunity arises, BMS would restore the speedway, increase parking for soccer and flea market events and install a sound barrier at no cost to taxpayers. Its estimated that the speedway could generate 200 million dollars annually in economic traffic.
