WCSO arrest man for evading after pursuit

Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 23 year old Joshua Rex Dunbar and charged him with Evading Arrest, Driving on a Revoked License and Speeding. Deputies were patrolling Kingsport Highway shortly before midnight on June 11 when they saw a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. The driver, later identified as Dunbar, attempted to evade Deputies by turning onto a side road and then stopping at the intersection of Old Stage Road. Dunbar immediately attempted to flee on foot. Deputies apprehended him in a wooded area adjacent to the roadway.  He was transported to the Washington County Detention Center with his first court appearance June 12.
