500 doses of Johnson & Johnson vaccine available at LENOWISCO Health District event this week

Appointments are now being assigned for Southwest Virginia residents who want the one-dose Johnson & Johnson COVID vaccine.

The event scheduled for Wednesday presented by the Lenowisco Health District is appointment-only and those who are eligible include those age 65 and older, ages 16 to 64 with underlying medical conditions, and certain frontline essential workers.

The district plans to administer 500 doses at the event.

Participants can register online at vaccinate.virginia.gov.
