Ballad reports potential hack of personal information to third-party partner’s servers

A third party company that provides electronic print and mail processing services for Ballad Health had its online servers hacked four months ago and gained unauthorized access to personal information.

A statement from Ballad said the company called Renkin discovered the suspicious activity on March 3rd, stopped the function and reported the incident to law enforcement but files containing personal data may have been compromised.

The Ballad report said people need to closely review their financial records and consider having a fraud alert placed on credit files.
