UPDATE: Johnson City man who used samurai sword in 2022 murder sent to prison

A Johnson City man is headed to prison for two decades for the 2022 slaying of the victim that included the use of a samurai sword.
District Attorney Steve Finney said in a report that Rex Dale Lewis did not request emergency help for James Allen ‘Al’ Wilson who was found dead in the foyer of Lewis’ home.
Evidence also showed Lewis attempted to conceal crime by attempting to clean off blood stains and hiding the blade. The criminal court judge ordered a 22-year prison sentence for Lewis.
