Resurfacing project to begin Monday in Downtown Greeneville

Motorists traveling on State Route 35 (US 321) in Greene County should be aware of upcoming road construction activities that will have a significant impact on traffic. Beginning on Monday, August 25, resurfacing activities will get underway on a 3.1-mile section of Main Street between Ricker Avenue and 11E in Downtown Greeneville. While the work takes place, on-street parking will be prohibited between the Main Street and the Tusculum Boulevard intersections in downtown Greeneville. There will be intermittent lane closures daily between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. during the project. All work is expected to be complete on or before Friday, October 31. Motorists are advised to expect delays and use extreme caution in the area as workers will be present.
