Kenny Chesney selects ETSU as first stop on book promotion tour

Country music superstar and East Tennessee State University alumnus Kenny Chesney announced the first of several book tour stops will be held at the Martin Center on November 1st.

The chat is to discuss Chesney’s new auto biography “Heart Life Music” with co-writer and New York Times music critic Holly Gleason.

Chesney said in a statement that it was appropriate to start the tour in Johnson City where he dreamed about a career and honing his craft as part of the school’s Bluegrass program.

The book will be released by publisher Harper Collins on November 4th. Tickets go on sale Friday and attendees will receive their own copy of Chesney’s book.
