No other evidence found after skull discovered at Johnson City golf property

Cadaver dogs were brought to a Johnson City golf course but no further evidence was discovered after a human skull was found Thursday evening on park property.

A city police report said the skull was in a wooded area of Pine Oaks Golf Course on Buffalo Road. A specialist with the Jenkins Forenics Center at ETSU confirmed the skull was human. The bone was then transported for further testing. The animals used for tracking in the case were supplied by the Greene County Sheriff’s Department.

A police statement said the investigation is ongoing and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
