Emory & Henry University inaugurates 23rd president

Emory & Henry University just celebrated the inauguration of its 23rd president. A ceremony was held Friday to inaugurate Dr. A. Louise “Lou” Fincher as the university’s next president. University and local government dignitaries along with faculty, staff and students gathered to honor Fincher. Fincher previously served as Emory & Henry’s interim president until the board of trustees appointed her to the role permanently. Fincher joined the school in 2014 as the founding dean of the School of Health Sciences in Marion following decades in higher education and healthcare fields.
