TCAT Elizabethton launching new Hospitality program in 2026

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology in Elizabethton is preparing to launch its Retail, Hospitality and Tourism Technology program in the upcoming year. Officials say TCAT is in the process of reaching out to local businesses to learn what they need for workforce training. The new program aims to provide students with hands-on experiences and students will be able to earn certificates in the program along with their degree. The skills students learn in the program will be based on what businesses in the area say they are looking for. The program is set to begin in the spring of 2026.
