Power outages reported across the region Friday morning as severe thunderstorms rolled through the Tri-Cities and Southwest Virginia late Thursday night. Buchanan County had more than 2700 reported outages, Sullivan County suffered a little more than 1800 outages, Smyth, Lee, Wise and Washington County, Virginia each reporting several hundred residents with out power as of Friday Morning.
