Blowing Rock Chamber collecting donations for Bistro Roca employees
Workers at a historic restaurant in Blowing Rock, North Carolina are out of work after a fire that started in the basement leveled the Bistro Roca on the 100 block of Wonderland Drive.
The town’s Chamber of Commerce has announced a donation drive that will go to the waitresses, cooks and 60 others left without a job.
According to the chamber and the owners, the Bistro Roca was the oldest continuously serving bar in North Carolina and was founded in the early 1930s.
Those interested can go to the Blowing Rock Chamber’s website or Facebook page.
