Case of Bristol double homicide bound over to grand jury
A Bristol Tennessee Municipal Court judge determined the state established probable cause for a November shooting involving murder suspect Elijah Campbell and his case has been bound over to a grand jury.
Detectives and policemen who testified at Campbell’s preliminary hearing said Campbell admitted shooting three people in the early hours of November 23rd outside a home on Lilly Street including double homicide victims Lexy Coleman and Deonte Wright.
Campbell’s attorney argued his client’s actions were in self defense and allowed under Tennessee law and to protect his cousin who was also at the crime scene. Campbell has another court appearance scheduled for March 13th.
