Sex offender arrested in Washington County, VA

A man has been charged in Washington County, Virginia, for violating the terms of his previous sex crime conviction. According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and the Glade Spring Police Department, 40-year-old Scott Kegley was arrested after being seen at Dunn Park in Glade Spring on March 4th, while children were present. Kegley is a tier 3 sex offender, closely monitored and must verify registration four times annually in the state of Virginia. According to the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail in Abingdon, Kegley was released on March 11 after posting a $5,000 bond.
