Patrols pause to honor longest-serving K9 officer in Washington County Tennessee
After 10 years on the force and in the field plus a forever home in retirement with his only handler, the longest serving K9 officer with the Washington County Tennessee Sheriff’s Office was transported to his final resting place.
K9 Mali had turned 15 this year and during his stellar career, he helped capture three criminals, used his skills to assist investigations with the US Postal Service and the DEA and found more than $30,000 worth of street drugs while on duty.
Mali received a police escort from officers serving multiple jurisdictions as part of his final trip and tribute.
