JC Regional Planning Commission looks at subdivision proposals
The Johnson City Regional Planning Commission considered two subdivision proposals, adding up to 190 homes. One subdivision is located at the corner of Claude Simmons and Knob Creek roads. The other, Cardinal Forest subdivision, is a piece of land near Lake Ridge Elementary. Local leaders paused approval of subdivision plans on Claude Simmons Road until a comprehensive traffic study could be completed, and approved a preliminary plat proposal for Cardinal Forest. For Cardinal Forest, now that the preliminary plat has been approved, the developer can come up with civil plans that are consistent with the preliminary plat.
