Convicted narcotics dealer in Bristol receives 130-year sentence
Bristol Virginia Chief of Police Byron Ashbrook said the seriousness of the risk trafficking narcotics brings to the city was reflected in a judge’s ruling.
The Circuit Court judge exceeded sentencing guidelines when he delivered the decision for Rachel Canter, placing her in prison for 130 years after hearing testimony in her sentencing hearing.
Canter pleaded guilty to transporting fentanyl into Virginia with the intent to sell along with other charges related to Canter selling narcotics to undercover officers.
