JC commissioners putting together a bid packet for restoration of Freedom Hall pool

Commissioners tasked city staff with assembling a bid packet that could lead to the restoration of the swimming pool at Freedom Hall Civic Center. The Johnson City Commission’s action came after a presentation during a work session earlier Thursday. City leaders say it will take about two weeks to put together a bid packet and around six weeks total for the entire bidding process. Bids will be made on the city’s website. Commissioners will then decide whether to move forward with funding repairs for the pool.
