Johnson City Commission votes to extend data center moratorium

The Johnson City Commission voted to extend a moratorium on new data centers. The vote was unanimous to extend the moratorium to December 3. It was set to expire June 5. City leaders say the extension will give them more time to understand the noise data centers may emit as they consider which restrictions to apply.
