One runway shut down at Tri Cities Airport as repairs are made
A runway at Tri Cities Airport has been taken out of commission due to repairs.
A report from the facility Tuesday evening said Runway 5/23 was examined and a condition was identified and is being worked on indefinitely. The airport statement said there was no estimated timetable for reopening the landing strip while safety officials assess the situation and complete a repair plan. Runway 9/27 remains operational.
Tuesday was also the first day of construction repair on the airport’s premium lot that will require passengers and visitors to park their vehicles in the economy lots.
