Man in custody after stabbing two people in Wise, VA

A man is in custody after allegedly stabbing two people in Wise, Virginia. The stabbing occurred around 11pm Friday night, described as a domestic violence incident. The suspect fled after the stabbings and was found in the Big Stone Gap area by the Wise County Sheriff’s Office around 3:35 a.m. on Saturday. The suspect has been identified as 40 year old John William Fields of Big Stone Gap and has been charged with two counts of aggravated malicious wounding.
