Smyth County residents give input on zoning ordinance regarding data centers

Smyth County residents had a chance to give their input on a proposed amendment to the county’s zoning ordinance regarding data centers. The proposal would create a path for the application and regulation of data centers within the county. Assistant County Administrator Clegg Williams addressed questions and concerns regarding data centers at the meeting and believes data centers could be compatible with Smyth County, quote, “under the right circumstances.”
