Commonwealth’s Attorney in Lee County to review fatal car crash
Early details shared by the Virginia State Police show a fatal Lee County crash was possibly caused by the driver of an SUV striking another vehicle several times.
The statement said the car was sent into a through a guardrail near routes 642 and 798, off the right side of the road, then struck a house. The driver of the car was not injured while the passenger died from their injuries in the wreck. The driver of the SUV remained at the crash site.
Investigators said the two parties were known to each other, and the case has been submitted to the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office for possible criminal charges.
