Records: Multiple victims received protective orders for current stalking suspect

Court records show a Washington County inmate charged with aggravated stalking has had three previous protective orders filed against him from three different victims.

The information from Sessions and Criminal Court showed Michael Todd Fletcher, 44, of Johnson City, had orders issued by a judge in 2003, 2007, and in 2023 by the current victim, who was granted another order last week.

Fletcher is accused of violating his latest order by contacting the victim multiple times last week using a system offered by the jail facility in Jonesborough. He was scheduled to appear in court on his latest charges on Monday.

A Washington County, Tennessee jail inmate faces an additional charge of aggravated stalking. The victim in a separate case told officers that Michael Todd Fletcher, 44, of Johnson City used the facility’s Chirp messaging system to contact them.

In that prior case, Fletcher was ordered to have no contact with the victim by a county judge.

Fletcher is alleged to have contacted the victim just four days after he was served with the civil summons and had already pleaded guilty to violating a restraining order and terms of his conditional release after an arrest on July 7th.

Court records show a charge of violation of a protective order was dismissed by a judge in May.
