Bond denied in SC for parents of Saylor Hayes

Bond has been denied for both John and Geordyn Hayes after a hearing in Georgetown County. Stuart Axelrod and Jonny McCoy represented John Hayes. Axelrod and McCoy told the judge they do not represent Geordyn Hayes and claimed she is unrepresented. Both were booked into the Georgetown County Detention Center Friday. Both parents have been charged with unlawfully placing a child at risk/willfully abandoning a child following the death of Saylor, who was found dead in South Carolina on Aug. 31. A final autopsy report is expected to be available in eight to 10 weeks, pending completion of laboratory testing and review of the results.
