Police: Former Subway worker walks in and starts taking cash from register

A former worker at a Southwest Virginia fast food stop is behind bars after police said he came to the business and stole cash.

A report from the Tazewell Police Department said Matthew Bradley of Bandy, who faces one count of robbery, came through the back entrance of a Subway restaurant located on Riverside Drive and started taking money out of the register. A manager of the store and Bradley ended up with minor injuries after the person in charge tried to have Bradley return the money.

The report also said Bradley was intoxicated at the time of the incident.
