Abingdon Looking At Building Unique “Pump Track” Recreational Site

The Town of Abingdon wants to know if citizens are interested in the development of a new, and very unique recreation spot known as a Pump Track, that if approved, would be built adjacent to the Virginia Creeper Trail. A Pump Track, is a circuit of rollers, banked turns, and features designed to be ridden completely by riders, “Pumping” or generating momentum by up and down body movements, instead of pedaling or pushing.
