Another East Tennessee school board member with legal trouble–jury tampering
Long before Washington County’s Keith Ervin was charged with assault for touching a student during a council session, Jack Mullins, a school board member in Hancock County, was indicted for solicitation of a minor and misconduct in October after he reportedly approached a 17-year-old woman at a fitness center asking for sexual favors.
Now, new information on Mullins based on another TBI investigation on a case surrounding that trial.
Mullins is accused of contacting jurors involving his solicitation trial in February; he’s now charged with one count of improper influence of a juror. Mullins was taken to jail and issued a $5,000 bond.
Information online from Hancock County Schools has Mullins still listed as a school board member as of Monday.
