Arrest made in Buchanan County for murder, child abuse case from July

The Buchanan County Commonwealth Attorney had enough evidence for probable cause in a child death case and a warrant was issued to capture Logan Curtis Boyd.

He was arrested, issued no bond and is charged with felony murder stemming from the July 2 death reported in Vansant. Boyd is also charged with felony child abuse and neglect.

A joint statement from the Attorney and County Sheriff’s Office said no further information was being released about the case due to its sensitive nature and active investigation.
