Arrested driver speeds, slides, crashes and runs across Interstate 81

It was a scene straight out of an action movie on Interstate 81.

An officer with the Washington County, VA Sheriff’s Office started chasing a motorist who he clocked on radar at 107 mph northbound near the Glade Spring exit.

That driver then crashed through pasture fences in an attempted getaway that ended with a crash. The report said 20-year-old Muhammad Camara of Homewood, Alabama then ran across busy lanes of the interstate and was captured after a brief search.

Camara is charged with reckless driving, felony eluding and felony vandalism, according to the sheriff’s office.
