Body found in home in Greeneville identified as attorney

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has released the identity of the man who was found dead at his home Tuesday evening in Greeneville.

The body of Thomas C. Jessee, 69, was discovered at the dwelling located on Whirlwind Road. The TBI says a preliminary review by detectives shows the death did not involve foul play.

Greeneville police said in a statement that the TBI was called in due to potential conflicts of interest due to Jessee and his role as a prominent attorney in Greene County.
