Bond set for man accused in weekend JC shooting

The man accused of shooting a victim multiple times at a Johnson City Waffle House was in court Wednesday. 25 year old Raekwon Grimes turned himself in to the Johnson City Police Department Tuesday. Police were looking for Grimes as a suspect in a shooting at the Waffle House on North State of Franklin Road around 4 a.m. Sunday. Police found a person in the restaurant’s parking lot with multiple gunshot wounds. Grimes is charged with aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a weapon. State prosecutors asked for and received a $100,000 bond. Grimes next court appearance is scheduled for November 5.
