BVCC Takes First Step In Blocking Future Abortion Providers From Locating Inside City Limits

Bristol, Virginia City Council Tuesday night took the first step in possibly blocking new abortion providers in the city and imposing new restrictions on Bristol Women’s Health, that recently located in Bristol, Virginia following a ban on abortions in Tennessee. Council voted unanimously on the restrictions even though it is not certain the resolution is legal. The resolution must navigate through several steps and will be sent to the city’s planning commission and legal departments for further review.
