Compliance check of underage sales of vape and tobacco in White Pine nets two citations

White Pine authorities said a juvenile under law enforcement supervision was able to purchase restricted products like alcohol, tobacco and vape at two retail locations–resulting in store clerks being cited and ordered to appear in court.

A message on social media from the Police Department said there were ongoing concerns about the unlawful sale of those items to minors and failure to follow state regulations spurred the evaluation.

The two stores identified as out of compliance were Easy In Market and Woody’s Market. Eight establishments complied with underage sale restrictions and rules.
