Crews battle Greene County house fire Thursday night

Crews were on the scene of a house fire in Greene County in the 200 block of Bailey Lane on Thursday night. First responders said that the homeowner was not home when the fire started, but did arrive as crews were working. Popping could be heard and a neighbor tried to get in through the front door, but could not. The neighbor then called 911. The Tusculum Volunteer Fire Department and Baileyton Volunteer Fire Department responded to the fire.
