Demolition work scheduled, closing streets in Morristown
The former Bradley Hardware Building in downtown Morristown has been scheduled for demolition after the property owner obtained the necessary permits for the work.
A city report said North Cumberland Street and a block of Main Street will be closed beginning April 20th then reopening on May 4th in order to complete those chores.
The owner has proposed a mixed-use development for that area while construction has started on a neighboring property that once housed the Parks Belk building that was leveled by a fire in 2024.
