Drug Take Back events happening throughout region Oct. 23; free disposal of unwanted, expired medication

Multiple localities are hosting Drug Take Back events this weekend. These Drug Take Backs serve communities by collecting unwanted, unused, or expired medications in a secure environment. Organizers say this is a no-questions-asked event and participants will not be asked for identification. All items will be properly disposed of by incineration. These Drug Take Back events are free to the public. They happen on Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Johnson City Police Department, the Jonesborough Town Hall, and the Bristol, Tennessee Municipal Building.
