Greeneville pharmacy tech accused of stealing thousands of pills
A former worker at a Greeneville store is set to be arraigned later this month after police were contacted by her bosses after they found a discrepancy in medications.
Noel Houseman, 22, of Afton, is charged with one count of obtaining drugs by fraud, according to information from law enforcement officials.
A manager at Walgreen’s on Andrew Johnson Highway told investigators that Houseman was employed as a pharmacy tech and was captured on their video surveillance placing a large number of narcotic pills in her purse.
The manager estimates more than 6,000 pills were taken over the last eight months.
Houseman is set for an appearance in Sessions Court on Feb. 26 and was issued a $10,000 bond.
