JC man facing multiple charged after trying to ram deputies
A Johnson City man is charged after an attempted traffic stop Tuesday afternoon. The Washington County, Tennessee Sheriff’s Office attempted to stop a vehicle with no tags on Cash Hollow Road. The vehicle reportedly accelerated towards deputies in an attempt to strike two cruisers. 41 year old, Brandon Keith Ayers ran on foot after eventually stopping on South Austin Springs Road and was quickly taken into custody. A female passenger was in Ayer’s car and wanted to get out, but he allegedly refused. Ayers faces multiple charges including Assault Against a First Responder, False Imprisonment, Felony Evading. He was transported to the Washington County Detention Center.
