JC Turkey Trot 5k organizers release route details

The organizers of Johnson City’s annual Turkey Trot have announced driving restrictions along the race course Thanksgiving morning. The course will begin at the corner of East State of Franklin Road and Legion Street and begin one East State of Franklin Road, continuing onto West State of Franklin Road. Traffic will be restricted as the race route continues on West Watauga Avenue, West Walnut Street, Boyd Street, West Pine Street, South Roan Street, West Maple Street, East Maple Street, Van Brocklin Way with the race finishing on Legion Street. The race course will close to motorists at 5 a.m. The race is expected to conclude around 11:30 a.m., and the route will reopen to traffic. Free public parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis in City parking lots.
