Kingsport resident identified by police as main suspect in Copper Street explosives case

One week after an incident that cleared several Kingsport blocks of residents due to explosives, police announced the main suspect in the case is in custody.

Andrew Mullen is accused of leaving two explosives inside a home on Copper Street.

Currently, he is facing a felony weapon violation but the city report said Mullen’s case regarding the devices is still active and charges are forthcoming.
