Kingsport Senior Center reopening to public today following March closure due to COVID-19
Kingsport’s Senior Center has reopened to the public following a lengthy closure because of COVID-19.
City officials say the temporary hours of operation will be Monday-Thursday from 8 a.m-3:30 p.m, but only the main site will reopen as branch sites are still closed until further notice. Masks are required and a new directional traffic flow will be labeled.
The center will operate at half capacity, which includes welcoming individuals who were born in an even year on Monday and Wednesday, while those born in an odd year will be allowed to come Tuesday and Thursday. For married couples who were each born in either an odd or even year, the center asks you pick one of the two options and attend both of those days.
Exercise classes will be scheduled every day the center is open with limited capacity for each class. Click here for further reopening guidelines from the City.
