Lawmakers announce replacement project for Goshen Valley Bridge

A recent exam has ushered in construction of a replacement for the Goshen Valley Bridge in Hawkins County.
A delegation of state lawmakers including Rep. Gary Hicks of Rogersville issued a statement announcing design and right-of-way acquisition will be one of the first steps for the TDOT-managed project.
The 61-year-old bridge that connects McPheeters Bend, Church Hill and Rogersville was labeled in poor condition following a 2024 inspection—requiring a 10-ton weight limit for vehicles to keep the structure in operation.
