OFFICIAL RULES

CONCEPT: Bristol Broadcasting Company, Inc., dba 96.9 WXBQ, will conduct a sweepstakes in which contestants will have opportunities to win a Country Thunder Prize Package. Each Country Thunder Prize Pack will consist of two weekend tickets to the Country Thunder Concert Event at Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee, on the weekend of October 6 and October 7, 2023. A minimum of twenty-four (24) Country Thunder Prize Packs will be awarded.

CONTEST PERIOD: The Country Thunder Sweepstakes will begin on September 18, 2023, and will end on or before October 7, 2023, when a minimum of twenty-four Country Thunder Prize Packs have been awarded.

SPONSOR: The Sponsor of the Country Thunder Sweepstakes is Bristol Broadcasting Company, Inc., dba WXBQ-FM). Promotional Partners are the Mountain Empire Chevy Dealers and the Country Thunder-Bristol Concert Event.

ELIGIBILITY: No purchase is necessary to enter the sweepstakes and win, and a contestant’s odds of winning will not be improved as a result of any purchase. The contest is open to all legal United States residents, age 18 or older on the date of their entry, who reside in the Greater Tri‑Cities TN/VA Area which area shall include Northeast Tennessee, Southwest Virginia, Eastern Kentucky, and Western North Carolina. To participate in the Country Thunder Sweepstakes an individual must be the holder of a valid government-issued photo ID. Employees of Bristol Broadcasting Company, Inc., the Chevrolet dealers that comprise the members of the Mountain Empire Chevy Dealers, and Country Thunder- Bristol; employees of subsidiary and affiliated companies of the foregoing entities and their respective advertising and promotion agencies; and the members of the immediate families or households of such individuals are not eligible. Owners, directors, and management employees of business entities of whatsoever nature that are engaged in the same or substantially the same types of business as is either the Sponsor or Promotional Partners as named above, and the members of the immediate families or households of such individuals are not eligible.

Only one member of an immediate family or household may win one of the Country Thunder Prize Packs. Upon the event of one member of an immediate family or household winning a Country Thunder Prize Pack by any of the methods by which contestants can win, all other members of his/her immediate family or household become ineligible to participate further in the Country Thunder Sweepstakes. For the purpose of these rules an individual’s immediate family members include (as applicable) his/her mother, father, son, daughter, brother, sister, stepmother, stepfather, stepson, stepdaughter, stepbrother, and stepsister. Members of an individual’s household include all persons who reside in the same house (or have the same home address) as the individual. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. No group, club, newsletter, or organization may reproduce or distribute any portion of these Official Rules to its members. All entrants, as a condition of entry, agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor which shall be final and binding.

ENTRY: Eligible individuals wishing to enter the Country Thunder Sweepstakes may do so in one of two ways:

Individuals may tune to WXBQ (at 96.9 mHz) to hear announcements detailing the locations and times of these live remote broadcasts. One or more such live remote broadcasts may be staged each week during the Contest Period. During the last live-from-location segment of each of these selected remote broadcasts, one name will be drawn at random from all the entries from that remote broadcast. Each name drawn in this manner (if that entry meets eligibility requirement) will win a Country Thunder Prize Pack. Each person whose name is drawn must meet all contest eligibility requirement to be selected as a winner. If a name is drawn and that person fails to meet eligibility requirements, additional names may be drawn until a contestant is qualified to win the prize pack. To enter at a live remote broadcast, participants must hand print their name, address, street address, email address, and daytime phone number on an official entry form or a plain 3”x5” piece of paper. Participants must then deposit the completed entry into the ballot boxes located at the live remote broadcast. Limit one entry per person per remote broadcast remote. No photocopied or mechanically reproduced entries will be accepted. No responsibility is assumed for lost, late, illegible, incomplete, damaged, or misdirected entries. All entries must be deposited/received no later than one minute prior to the last live-from-location segment (approximately 12 minutes prior to the announced end time) of each remote broadcast event. All entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. Approximately 12 Country Thunder Prize Packs will be awarded in this manner.

Entry Method 2 Individuals may tune to WXBQ-FM radio (at 96.9 mHz) during the Contest Period for announced opportunities to participate in on-air contests. Contests will be aired at random times during the Contest Period. During each on-air contest, listeners will be asked to be a designated caller on the WXBQ Listener Line (800-332-3697) after a specific sounder is aired. The designated caller on each contest, subject to all the contest restrictions and eligibility requirements, will instantly win a Country Thunder Prize Pack. A minimum of twelve (12) contests will be aired and a minimum of twelve (12) Country Thunder Prize Packs will be awarded by this method.

Odds of winning depend upon the number of contestants who attempt to participate in the on-air call-in contesting and the number of entries received in the entry boxes during the live remote broadcasts at the twelve Chevrolet dealership locations.

PRIZES: A minimum of twenty-four (24) Country Thunder Prize Packs will be awarded. Each Country Thunder Prize Pack will consist of two (2) weekend tickets to the Country Thunder Concert Event at Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee, on the weekend of October 6 and October 7, 2023. The approximate retail value of each Country Thunder Prize Pack is $360.00.

All prize winners must be 18 years old or older and will be required to provide a valid government issued identification. The prize packages consist only of those items specifically listed as part of the prize. Any item, cost, or expense not specifically listed shall be solely the responsibility of the winner.

Payment of all federal, state, and local taxes and fees associated with the acceptance of any prize in the Country Thunder Sweepstakes is solely the responsibility of each prize winner. The Sponsor reserves the right to award a prize of equal or greater value in the event any published prize becomes unavailable; however, no substitution of prizes by a prize winner is permitted. No transfer of a prize to a third party is permitted, and prizes may not be redeemed for cash value.

The tickets awarded as prizes will be digitally downloaded tickets. Sponsor will make efforts to contact each winner with information about how he/she can have the tickets transferred and downloaded to him/her. Sponsor will make a telephone call to each winner utilizing the telephone number provided on his/her entry form. In cases where there is no answer when the telephone number is called, two additional attempts to reach the party will be made. If the party being called has an answering service or device or if a third party answers the phone, a message relaying pertinent notification details will be left. Reasonable and diligent efforts as described above will be made to contact each winner, however the Sponsor assumes no responsibility for technical, electronic, telephone congestion, hardware, software or network, computer or data transmission errors, malfunctions, or difficulties of any kind. If a winner who fails to answer telephone calls from the Sponsor does not contact the Sponsor by 5:00 pm Eastern Daylight Time on October 6, 2023 to commence the ticket transfer/download; the prize may be forfeited in which case the prize will become the property of the Sponsor. Upon forfeiture by a winner, no compensation shall be given.

PUBLICITY RELEASE: Except where prohibited by law, by participating in the Country Thunder Sweepstakes, contestants consent to the use of their names, voices, photographs, or likeness for advertising or publicity purposes related to this or similar promotions without compensation. During the Contest Period or as part of awarding a prize, contestants may also be asked to interact live on-air with 96.9 WXBQ air personalities. Contestants, by entering or participating in the Country Thunder Sweepstakes, grant permission without further notice for 96.9 WXBQ to air, either live or by recording delay, any telephone conversation(s) or interviews related to the sweepstakes by and between the contestant and 96.9 WXBQ air personalities.

GENERAL: By participating in the Country Thunder Sweepstakes, entrants agree, on behalf of themselves, their executors, assigns, and heirs, (a) to abide by the Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor as named above which shall be final and binding in all matters relating to the Country Thunder Sweepstakes; (b) release and hold harmless the Sponsor and Promotional Partners as named above, their parent, subsidiary and affiliated companies and their respective directors, officers and employees from any and all liability, claims, or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership, acceptance, or use of any prize or while preparing for, participating in, and/or traveling to or from any prize-related or contest-related activity associated in any manner whatsoever with the Country Thunder Sweepstakes; and (c) that none of the foregoing entities are responsible for damaged, late, lost, incomplete, stolen, illegible, or misdirected entries, or communications.

Each prize winner, by accepting the prize, acknowledges that the Sponsor has neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation, or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the prize.

Sponsors reserve the right in their sole discretion to modify or discontinue the Country Thunder Sweepstakes at any time with notice in the event technical or human error or other circumstance corrupt its conduct or operation; and in the event of such cancellation to award the prizes by an alternate method. Neither the Sponsor nor any of the Promotional Partners are responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering, or the administration of the contest, or in the announcement of the prize.

ADDITIONAL RULES APPLY: All “General Contests and Prize Policies” of WXBQ-FM as posted on the website for WXBQ-FM (www.wxbq.com) are incorporated herein by reference and shall apply where germane to the Country Thunder Sweepstakes.
