Major donations roll in for Second Harvest Food Bank of NETN
Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee announced major support from Ballad Health, totaling $200,000, as leaders highlighted continued high demand for food assistance. The food bank originally recognized a $100,000 gift received in November during the SNAP benefits disruption. During Thursday’s press conference, Ballad Health pledged an additional $100,000 to be used as a matching challenge for other businesses and individuals. Scott Niswonger also pledged $100,000 to support food assistance efforts. Leaders said the funding will help ensure families continue to have access to nutritious food.
