Manslaughter case connected to death of Emory & Henry student bound over to grand jury
The woman behind the wheel in an SUV crash that killed an Emory & Henry College student has had her case bound over to a grand jury in Washington County, Virginia.
Lauren Nicole Salyer was charged with involuntary manslaughter four months after the death of Gracie Dimit, 20, a passenger in her vehicle who was pronounced dead at the scene at the wreck located a few miles from the Emory campus.
Preliminary details from the Virginia State Police say Salyer was driving recklessly when the SUV slammed into a tree.
