Marion House fire Sunday morning takes lives of 2 pets

A Sunday morning house fire in Marion has left a local family without a home and mourning the loss of their two pets. Emergency crews from Marion, Adwolfe, and Sugar Grove responded to the blaze in the 2800 block of Highway 16 just before 10:30 a.m. While the residents were away at the time, officials confirm two dogs did die in the fire. Several local businesses and community members are now gathering donations, including clothing and essentials, to help the family recover.
