Midway resident charged with sexually abusing 5-year-old

A suspect in a child sex case in Greene County has been arraigned in Sessions Court.

According to a report from Sheriff Wesley Holt’s office, officers were called to Greeneville Community Hospital after a patient’s father told medical personnel that he had sexually molested the girl. Christopher Warren, 26, of Midway, then told investigators he had sexually abused the child since she was born 5 years ago.

Warren is charged with two counts of aggravated sexual battery and has another court date set for January 26.
