Motorcycle fatality reported in Carter County

A motorcyclist was killed in a crash Tuesday evening in Carter County. The crash happened just before 5:30 p.m. According to a THP crash report, a motorcycle was traveling south on Tiger Creek Road when it failed to maintain its lane and crossed into the opposite lane. A pickup swerved to the right to avoid the collision, but the motorcycle hit the left front side. The pickup truck went off the road and overturned onto its passenger side. The motorcyclist, identified as 53 year old, Robert Chambers Jr., was killed. The driver of the pickup was also injured.
